OH WHAT A NIGHT !!!!
51 FOR COURTNEY
COREY DRAINS A TREY AT THE BUZZER
Both teams brought drama to their games Tuesday night, but for different reasons.
Our Girls blew their game open in the 3rd quarter, as Courtney Keegan set a New School Record for the Girls by scoring 51 points. She surpasses the previous record of 43 held by Lisa Long (Class of '80) and Geraldine McDermott ('91).Brittany Turner added 17 points as the Girls won their 22nd game 91-49.
Not to be outdone, Corey Kearney, unaware that his QP single game points record was under assault back home, hit a three pointer as time expired as the Boys avenged an early season loss to Englewood by winning 81-80 in Englewood.
-------------------------------
Courtney also hit 9 3-pointers Tuesday night, breaking the school record of 7 in a game set in 2005 by Corey Kearney and tied by Courtney in Monday's 58-54 win over St Anthony's. She finished with 35 points in that game, a career best until Tuesday night. She is closing in on 2000!!!
